Mark Warde-Norbury (Executive Chairman)
Mark spent 14 years with the investment bank Robert Fleming and Co Limited ("Robert Fleming") and its subsidiary Save & Prosper Group Limited, where as a senior manager he helped to launch and manage the Fleming Private Banking operations in the UK. On leaving in 1998 he established St Helen's Capital Plc (now Marechale Capital). Mark's other directorships include Flight & Partners, an FSA authorised specialist fund manager, and the private equity and pre-IPO investment company St Helen's Private Equity Plc.
Patrick Booth-Clibborn (Chief Executive)
Patrick has more than 24 years corporate advisory and broking experience and has led projects which have raised over £800m of equity for companies and funds. Patrick started his career at James Capel & Co, subsequently working for ANZ Merchant Bank, Guinness Mahon, Noble and KBC Peel Hunt. As a Director of Noble & Co, Patrick was instrumental in building its London based advisory and equities franchise latterly as Head of Broking. Patrick specialises in advising companies in the leisure, renewables and infrastructure sectors. Patrick is also a non-exec director of Traccr Ltd, an FSA regulated CDS broker and a director of West Country Renewables Ltd.
Robin Black (Director)
Robin has a 26 year career of private equity investing and leveraged finance. He is one of the founding partners of Balmuir Partners since 2005 and was a senior partner of Botts & Company for 14 years (1992-2005), both London based private equity firms, where he focused on building and managing entrepreneurial businesses in the UK.
A graduate of Exeter University, he qualified as a chartered accountant with Peat Marwick Mitchell (now KPMG) in London. In 1985 he joined Bankers Trust’s private equity and leveraged finance team becoming a senior executive in Los Angeles and London.
Robin is chairman of Osprey Publishing, a UK based publisher, and Aqua Service, a Scandinavian office service business. He is a director and founder shareholder of Heartstone Inns, a UK based managed pub operator, and has recently been appointed to the investment committee of Finance East, a UK regional growth fund. He is also Treasurer and a Trustee of Malvern College, a UK based educational charity. He was previously a non-executive director of a number of private and quoted companies including Malmaison, Cineworld, Continuum Publishing and Primesight Plc, investments which he led whilst at Botts & Company.
Christopher Bunstead (Executive)
Christopher is an executive at Marechale Capital. He started his career at BNP Paribas Securities Services before moving to a AIMcapital Ltd as part of the Institutional Sales & Investor Relations team where he was responsible for relationships with Family Offices, Private Banks and Asset Managers in the UK, Benelux and Ireland. Christopher has a BA (Hons) in Politics and MA in Management & Finance.
Hamish Williams (Associate)
Hamish is an associate of Marechale and has coached and mentored Owner Managers and Management Teams of a number of small and medium sized businesses, advising them on managing growth. His clients have included businesses in the publishing, software, distribution, and support services sectors including a Fast Track 100 company. Through his association with Marechale Capital (formerly St Helen’s Capital plc) he helped several companies become 'investment ready' and acted as Corporate Adviser to a number of companies listed on PLUS. In 1999 he gained an MBA from Cranfield School of Management, winning the 1999 European Foundation for Management Development Case Writing Award for Entrepreneurship. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, and is a member of the Advisory Panel to TVIN (the Thames Valley Investment Network)
Mark Vickers (Associate)
Mark Vickers is an associate of Marechale with over 20 years' experience in project and structured finance. He started his career as a corporate solicitor with Linklaters, where he worked in Frankfurt, Singapore and London, before joining the international development team at BAT Industries. After completing business qualifications during time with project manager WS Atkins, Mark subsequently spent 14 years in banking and private equity with Kleinwort Benson, TCW (Soc Gen Asset Management), Commerzbank and Standard Chartered in various roles, but with a focus on energy and infrastructure finance. He is currently a commercial advisor to The Crown Estate on offshore energy projects and has worked on a wide range of renewables projects as advisor, analyst, credit structurer and investor.
